History of Fenrir Inc goes back to the time when Yasuyuki Kashiwagi (the founder of Fenrir Inc) was developing Sleipnir by himeself. Here we will talk about a story between 2002 to 2008 (2002 is the year that Sleipnir was created).
2002 - BIRTH -
"I'd like to share wonderful experience with many people through software development"
This is what Yasuyuki Kashiwagi had been hoping since he leaned programing. He started developing a browser to pursue this goal and he completed creating Sleipnir in 2002.
"I've always been thinking how I can develop software for users, what kind of browser they want and they feel it's easy to use."
He have been asking himself these questions since he released Sleipnir. He had worked hard to develop the browser for users and as a result, he won the first prize from the Japanese major software site.
He updated Sleipnir to provide better software for users, but suddenly he had to giving up development of Sleipnir after an accident... *(secret No.1)
2005 - REBIRTH -
Yasuyuki Kashiwagi was working and at the same time recreating Sleipnir. He, however, noticed that he could not have enough time to develop Sleipnir while he worked for a company and had to think about other ways to devote himself to the software development.
"If I can work together with others people, we can provide users of updated software within shorter period and as an team, we can overcome challenges that I would face in the future.
Then he decided to establish Fenrir Inc.
Fenrir Inc released Sleipnir 2.0.0, the updated version of Sleipnir 1.6.6 on October 12th. Around the same time, Fenrir Inc was tied up with Excite Japan Co. Ltd. Also the number of download reached more than 1 million this year.
2006 - MISSION -
Fenrir Inc released Potable Sleipnir that you can carry with and use anywhere with your USB. Also Fenrir Inc established a business alliance with Google and set Google search as Sleipnir default search engine.
2007 - PARTY -
"I'd like to communicate more with Sleipnir users!" Developer's Blog started in Japan from one developer's opinion."Communication with users is very important." That is what developers in Fenrir Inc are always keeping their minds.
Fenrir Inc have created many plug-ins and skins through communication with users.
Fenrir Inc would like to listen to your voice to continuously develop the browser for you and all Sleipnir users.
